Singapore Petroleum (SPC) is a regional oil and gas company with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, refining, terminalling and distribution, marketing and trading of crude and petroleum products. The Company is focused on achieving its strategic vision to be a strong integrated oil and gas player with a premium brand in the Asia Pacific region.
SPC has an opportunity for a self-driven, adaptable and enthusiastic individual to be part of its Corporate Development team. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Development, your responsibilities involve:
*contributing towards the analysis and valuation of business opportunities and/or companies
*participating in due-diligence teams, and playing an active role in helping to plan and co-ordinate the due diligence process
*assisting in facilitating and co-ordinating the Company’s strategic planning process
*reviewing of business units’ performance against their strategic objectives
*researching on business/industry trends and developments and their impact to the Group’s existing businesses and future opportunities
*assisting in the development and monitoring of the Group’s business development pipeline
*participating in ad-hoc projects assigned to Corporate Development
The above responsibilities will cover both the upstream and downstream segments of the Group’s businesses.
The successful candidate is expected to:
*have up to 4 - 6 years of relevant working experience from similar functions in oil and gas, corporate finance or business consulting industries
*have reasonable experience in financial and/or business modelling, analysis and interpretation
*have attained a bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Commerce or related business disciplines
*be confident and comfortable in presenting to and discussing business and work issues with senior individuals (including business leaders) within and outside the Company
*be open, keen to learn, with a can-do attitude
